Nina is Ryuu's main love interest in all three of the Breath of Fire series.  Like Ryuu, she is a new generation in each game.  Apparently from a long line of Winged Folk with the name 'Nina' .   It figures, though, since Nina ends up as a hero in each one. ^_^

Ryuu is the hero of a series of games called Breath of Fire.  The first two games were for the Super Nintendo, while the third in the series is out now for Playstation.  Anyway, Ryuu has been the star of every incarnation of the game.  The main character is always a blue-haired boy with dragon ancestory.  'Ryuu' isn't so much a name... as his label.  When people call him 'Ryuu', they're calling him 'dragon' in Japanese.  Anyway, that's why the name sticks.  Either way, Ryuu is usually a young, naive dragon-child who has to learn about his past and his background through a series of adventures.

Momo is a young inventor who helps both Ryuu and Nina escape from the clutches of their evil persuers in Breath of Fire 3.  She joins them after realizing that she can't return to her hometown with the baddies looking for her and her new charges.

Akira of Rival Schools (Arcade and PSX) is a tomboyish girl who disguises herself as a guy to gain respect among her peers.  She goes to school at a highschool clearly intended for delinquents.  She's fairly intelligent, and easily the smartest of her three member fighting team.

Natsu is a member of the Sports Highschool team from Rival Schools.  Her team is entirely composed of sports fanatics... one who is a baseball player, another who plays soccer, and herself with volleyball.  Natsu is a rather tough and butch woman who's not easily impressed by the boys.

Hinata is a bouncy and enthusiastic martial artist from the normal highschool in Rival Schools.  Her and her team mates are in the fights to do the best they can for their school.

Hiro-kun is a character from the Japanese Playstation import called Bust -a- Move:Rythm and Dance.  He's a computer hacker by day, but a phsychadelical disco fanatic by night.  If this scares you, you should see him dance! O_O
