Piranhas

Written by Helen

Here are some useful tips regarding the piranha fish which inhabbit the jungle pool in C3.

Brutal Killers

The most important thing to know about the piranhas is that they are brutal killers. Any critter, bug or Creature which falls into a pool of water containing these fish, pretty much has no hope what so ever. The fish quickly converge on the poor victim and in a matter of minutes the feeding frenzy is over and all that is left of the creature is a few stray bones floating to the bottom of the pond. piranhas in their original pond

Piranhas and eccology

Piranhas aren't exactly the most sharing of room mates, infact, they tend to devour anything else that tries to live with them. As a result, it's not advised to put your piranhas into other water bodies (such as the ocean terrarium. As well as ravaging any other wildlife in their home, the piranhas are also extremely hard to remove as they leave heaps and heaps of little pink clusters of piranha eggs which hatch when the adult population gets too large. See a picture of the the ocean terrarium after some piranhas have been introduced.
