Now you found my, Tina's, actual download page for easyPRAY.

If you encounter problems with easyPRAY please refer first to the FAQ (also included in the downloads) and the built-in help.

Windows:
Requirements:

  • A windows installation (Should work on any of them, at least when DS or C3 runs on it, but not sure because I only have Win98. Works also on WinXP - thanks to dr_frankenshee for reporting this)
  • PRAYBuilder from CDN (only needed if you want to compile the agent, but that's the idea of the program and it's therefore quite useless without that tool ;-) )
Download the zipped file: easyPRAY-0.4.0.zip ~1.0MByte

Installation:
Unpack the file with a common packer like WinZip or FreeZip to a directory of your choice. You'll find two files there: easyPRAY_Setup.exe and logo.bmp.
Just double-click in the explorer on easyPRAY_Setup.exe. You'll be guide through the install process then.

Linux:
If you want to change the language of easyPRAY either remove ~/.easypray or set in this file the locid to fr for French, de for German or en for English.
Requirements:

  • A linux installation with dialog or cdialog package installed (or you have to install easypray manually, however the package has only 90kB and it's worth a try). This does of course not apply to the Debian package.
  • Additional packages (version depends on what you download):
    • libgtk
    • libglib
    • libgnome (you need this anyway for DockingStation)
  • NO extra praybuilder because it's already included in binary packages :o)

The binaries no longer depend on libwx_gtk because they are statically linked against it.

  • First the binary tarball. It's like DS compiled on a Mandrake 8.0 installation and should therefore work if DS does.

Download the tarball (No sources. Sources are below on the side):
    easypray-0.4.0-bin.tar.gz ~1.8MByte

    Installation:
Untar it with 'tar xvfz easypray-0.4.0-bin.tar.gz'.
Then cd to the easypray directory and install it with './setup_linux.sh'.
If you don't have dialog or it fails to run follow the instructions given in README.

  • The debian package don't need the wxlib either but the common libs. Because I update my system almost everyday via the internet the latest libs available from the unstable branch are needed. Though it might of course also work with older ones but then you are on your own with installing this package!

    Download it here: easypray_0.4.0-2_i386.deb ~1.8MByte

    Installation:
You need to deinstall the previous 0.3.0-wxstatic version first.
Install it with 'dpkg -i easypray_0.4.0-2_i386.deb'.

Note: praybuilder is still Copyright Creature Labs and it's only allowed with the permission of CL to put a download of it on a site (which I *do* have). Hence remove it from the binary packages before you put them on your side, i. e. for a deb file you need to get the sources and build it yourself.
For more information about praybuilder look at www.gamewaredevelopment.co.uk/cdn.

Minimum requirements:

For Linux:
libstdc++-dev, libgtk1.2-dev, libglib1.2-dev, libwxgtk-dev and libwxgtk-contrib-dev (actually only libstc from contrib)
For Windows:
libwx-dev and libwx-contrib-dev or libstc from wxWindows. To the rest more below.

I provide makefiles for 'make' for both platforms. On Linux should be tools like gcc, ld, aso. installed if you have already compiled something else. For Windows these tools including the needed C/C++ standard headers and libraries are available from Mingw32 or Cygwin. I packed some tools not included there like sed, sh, msgfmt, zip and rm into the win_extras.zip.
The wxWindows and wxSTC libraries (ver. >= 2.2.6) are available from www.wxwindows.org or you may install the packages from your distribution (Debian has them). Don't use the development version 2.3.1 for GTK - it contains some bugs.
For more information please refer to the included readme's.

Download the zipped file: easypray-0.4.0-src.zip ~640kByte
Download the tarball: easypray-0.4.0-src.tar.gz ~570kByte
